Robert Van Nostrand

ROBERT VAN NOSTRAND is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of OSI
Pharmaceuticals. He was appointed Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer of OSI in December 1996, having previously served with the
company as Vice President, Finance and Administration, Treasurer and
Secretary since May 1990. Mr. Van Nostrand joined the company as
Controller and Chief Accounting Officer in August, 1986. Prior to
joining OSI, Mr. Van Nostrand was in a managerial position with the
accounting firm of Touche Ross & Co. Mr. Van Nostrand holds a BS in
Accounting from Long Island University, and he completed advanced
management studies at the Wharton School. He is a Certified Public
Accountant.
