Robert G. Moffat

ROBERT G. MOFFAT, a professional geologist, has been the President,
Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Courage Energy Inc. since
September 1995. From 1992 to 1995, Mr. Moffat was the President of
Springsyde Resources Ltd., a company that he founded and which later
became Courage Energy through an amalgamation and name change in 1995.
Prior thereto, Mr. Moffat was the Vice President and Director of
Highridge Exploration Ltd. Mr. Moffat has been instrumental in directing
corporate growth through oil and natural gas exploration in Canada, the
United States and internationally. He is currently a governor of the
Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) and he is the chair
of the public affairs executive policy group of CAPP. Mr. Moffat
graduated from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada in 1977.
