Robert G. Hagstrom

ROBERT G. HAGSTROM JR., is Senior Vice President and Director of Legg
Mason Focus Capital. He began his career in 1984 with Legg Mason Wood
Walker, Incorporated, as an investment broker and joined Legg Mason Fund
Adviser, Inc. as a Senior Vice President in 1998. He is currently
responsible for portfolio management of the Legg Mason Focus Trust
Mutual Fund. In addition, Mr. Hagstrom manages individual accounts based
on the focus investing style. Prior to joining Legg Mason Fund Adviser,
Inc., he was Managing Partner of Focus Capital Advisory, LP. Mr.
Hagstrom is a member of the Association of Investment Management and
Research and the Financial Analysts of Philadelphia. He received his BA
and MA degrees from Villanova University. Mr. Hagstrom is a Chartered
Financial Analyst and is the author of The Warren Buffett Way:
Investment Strategies of the World’s Greatest Investor (John Wiley &
Sons, 1994); The NASCAR Way: The Business That Drives the Sport (John
Wiley & Sons, 1998); and The Warren Buffett Portfolio: Mastering the
Power of the Focus Investment Strategy (John Wiley & Sons, 1999). Mr.
Hagstrom is the author of a new book: Latticework: The New Investing
(Texere).
