Robert Farnam is a Senior Vice President at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc., with a focus on the insurance sector. He is based in the firm’s Hartford, Conn., office. In 2011, Mr. Farnam was ranked as the nation’s best Banking Analyst in the nonlife insurance category, according to The Wall Street Journal’s Best on the Street annual survey. Before joining Keefe, Bruyette & Woods in 2005, Mr. Farnam spent more than seven years at A.M. Best Company as a Senior Financial Analyst and Actuary, with an emphasis on looking at workers’ compensation issues. Before that, he was an Actuarial Assistant at General Accident Insurance, where he worked from 1992 to 1995. He holds a B.S. in mathematics from Tufts University.
