Richard G. Sim

RICHARD G. SIM is Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive
Officer of APW Ltd. Mr. Sim joined Applied Power in 1985, since that
time sales have grown from $100 million to almost $2 billion in fiscal
1999. He took Applied Power public in 1987 and completed the spin off of
APW Ltd. in August 2000. Prior to joining Applied Power, Mr. Sim served
in a variety of management positions at General Electric. Mr. Sim is a
native of Scotland and received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from
the University of Glasgow and earned his PhD from Cambridge University.
Dick also serves as a director on the Boards of IPSCO Inc. and Oshkosh
Truck Corporation.
