He was selected by Forbes and StarMine in 2010 and 2006, as one of the top stock pickers for the thrift and mortgage finance industry, and by The Wall Street Journal as “Best on the Street” in the 2004 Analysts survey. Prior to joining Boenning & Scattergood, Inc., he was Director of Bank and Thrifts in the Research Department at Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC, in Philadelphia. Mr. Weiss is regarded as an industry expert and often quoted in financial media outlets including The Wall Street Transcript, Dow Jones News, American Banker and SNL Financial. Mr. Weiss earned his MBA in finance and investments from George Washington University and a B.S. in accounting from The Pennsylvania State University.
