Richard A. Verdi is Vice President, Equity Research at Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. Before joining the firm, he worked for MLV & Co., and prior to that, he successfully established and led coverage of the water industry at Sturdivant & Co. His equity research career began in 2005 while following the water arena as an Associate Analyst with Boenning & Scattergood. Mr. Verdi has provided written and verbal testimony in front of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities on water infrastructure and regulation, and is also a member of the American Water Resources Association, the National Association of Wastewater Technicians and the New York Society of Securities Analysts (NYSSA). In addition, he regularly speaks on water infrastructure and regulation as the featured Equity Research Analyst at the National Association of Water Companies (NAWC) Staff Policy Forum, as well as at the NAWC Annual Water Summit, and he hosts the Annual Water Utility Industry Conference for the NYSSA. He has passed level two of the Chartered Financial Analyst program and successfully completed the Utility Rate School course provided by the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners. He holds an MBA and a master’s degree from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business.
