Philip C. Ackerman

PHILIP C. ACKERMAN is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of
National Fuel Gas Company. Mr. Ackerman joined the company in 1968. He
is a 1965 graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo where
he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is also a
1968 graduate of the Harvard Law School, where he earned an LLB degree.
Mr. Ackerman is a Director of the American Gas Association, the Gas
Technology Institute and The Business Council of New York State, Inc. In
addition, Mr. Ackerman is Chairman of the Board of Managers of the
Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences and also serves on the Regional
Advisory Board of J.P. Morgan Chase.
