PETER T. KISSINGER is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of
Bioanalytical Systems, Inc., and Professor of Chemistry at Purdue
University Dr. Kissinger founded Bioanalytical Systems, Inc., in 1974 as
an outgrowth of his basic research monitoring trace neurotransmitters
and metabolites in living systems. The company has grown into a
worldwide, publicly traded contract services and instruments provider to
the pharmaceutical industry with more than 350 employees. Dr. Kissinger
is driven to combine good science, focused on human health, with good
business in the belief that ‘Making people healthy is good business.’
Dr. Kissinger has published over 220 scientific papers and has given
over 400 invited lectures. He was named a finalist in the Heartland
Region Ernst & Young 2002 Entrepreneur of the Year Award competition.
The Indiana Health Industry Forum honored him for his Outstanding
Contributions to the Health Care Industry with its 1999 World of
Difference Award. Dr. Kissinger received a BS in Chemistry (1966) from
Union College, Schenectady, New York and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry
(1970) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to
joining the Purdue University faculty in 1975, Dr. Kissinger was a
Research Associate at the University of Kansas (1970-1972) and an
Assistant Professor at Michigan State University (1972-1975).
