Peter Skibitski is a Senior Analyst covering the defense and aerospace industry at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, Inc. He has been following the defense industry for about12 years. In 1998, he became a Washington, D.C.,-based Reporter/Editor for Inside Washington Publishers, covering the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps, and the congressional beat, with a focus on procurement and associated policy issues. He later moved to DFI International, now Avascent, where he consulted to leading multinational defense firms as well as the government on market sizing, win strategies and competitive intelligence. His work there included a major research piece on the world military S-band radar market, as well as a win strategy for opportunities in the high-end Air Force UAV niche. Mr. Skibitski entered equity research in October 2003, helping to launch coverage of the aerospace and defense sector for Wachovia Securities. In March 2005, he moved to Credit Suisse and was named a Vice President in 2007 while collaborating with an Analyst who earned Forbes’ number one Best Stock Analyst that year. While at Credit Suisse, he published a major piece on the budget outlook at NASA as well as collaborative studies on the global defense and aerospace market. He later helped launch coverage of the federal IT space at Credit Suisse in 2009. Mr. Skibitski earned a B.S. in computer science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1993.
