Paris G. Reece

PARIS G. REECE joined MDC as a Vice President in 1988. He was promoted
to Chief Financial Officer in 1990, Senior Vice President in 1994 and
Executive Vice President in 1999. Mr. Reece is also officer and Director
of most of the company’s principal operating subsidiaries. Prior to
joining MDC, Mr. Reece was the Director of Tax Planning for Occidental
Petroleum Corporation, where he worked from 1977 until 1988.
