Norman W. Gayle

NORMAN W. GAYLE, III, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of
Vesta Insurance Group, Inc., and its subsidiaries. Mr. Gayle was
appointed Chief Executive Officer in 1998, and has been serving Vesta as
Chief Operating Officer since 1996. During more than 25 years of
industry experience, Mr. Gayle has held executive positions with both
insurance and reinsurance companies. Prior to his employment with Vesta,
Mr. Gayle served as Senior Vice President overseeing the Southern region
at reinsurance intermediary Carvill America. He received his Bachelor’s
degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University and has
been licensed as a property and casualty insurance agent since 1975.
