Nord Anglias first business was in English Language teaching. The Company grew in the 1980s and 90s. In its peak year over 40,000 students attended some 80 summer centres, six year-round schools in the UK, four schools in Australia and New Zealand and one in the United States. The Company sold its language business in 2000.
