Michael B. High

MICHAEL B. HIGH is Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial
Officer of Progress Financial Corporation. In this capacity, he
is responsible for finance, asset/liability management, investor
relations, operations, risk management and human resources. Mr.
High joined Progress in October 1998. Prior to joining Progress,
Mr. High was Senior Vice President of Accounting and Reporting at
CoreStates Financial Corp. following the merger in 1996 between
CoreStates Financial Corp. and Meridian Bancorp where he was
Senior Vice President of Finance. He began his career with
Meridian in 1993, joining the organization as a group controller.
In a prior position, Mr. High was Executive Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer with Meritor Savings Bank. Mr. High is a
member and past President of the Perkiomen Valley Optimist Club,
and former Director of the Pennsylvania Economy League as well as
former Finance Director of the Valley Forge Council of Boy
Scouts. Mr. High is a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a
Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The
Pennsylvania State University.
