Marilou M. Long is the Founder and Portfolio Manager at Crossvault Capital Management LLC. She has has 30 years of investment experience. Before forming the firm, she was a Portfolio Manager for 13 years at Austin, Calvert & Flavin, Inc., a registered investment adviser with over $1.5 billion in assets under management. Ms. Long had direct responsibility for portfolio management, research, fixed income portfolio management and client service. Prior to her affiliation with Austin, Calvert & Flavin, Inc., Ms. Long was an Assistant Vice President and Investment Manager at First Federal Savings and Loan Association of San Antonio, where she was responsible for the management of a $120 million portfolio of money market instruments, fixed income securities and mortgage-backed securities. Ms. Long graduated summa cum laude and with special honors from the Plan II program at The University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. She received an MBA with a concentration in finance from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Long is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and is a Past President of the San Antonio Society of Financial Analysts. She has served on the boards of the San Antonio Academy, the Battle of Flowers Association, the Christ Episcopal Church Endowment, the Baumberger Endowment and Alamo Title Company.
