MARC ANDERSEN is the Chairman and CEO of Cyber Press Publishing, a
company created in 1996 and whose shares are listed on the ‘Nouveau
Marche’ of the Paris Stock Exchange. Mr Andersen is 56 years old and
has been working in the press and magazine industry for more than 25
years. He created in 1974 a company called Sipress specialised in the
publishing of local and regional magazines, the company was publishing
more than 40 titles. Mr Andersen had the strong feeling that videogames
were not only a fashion phenomenon and decided to create in 1989 two
prestigious titles ‘Joystick’ and ‘Joypad’ which he sold to Hachette
Disney Presse four years later. During that period, he created ‘Mega
Force’, a magazine dedicated to the Sega brand and ‘Super Power’, a
magazine dedicated to the Nintendo brand. Convinced that PC owners had
an enormous need for more dynamic (images, videos, sounds) and more
interactive information, he created in 1997 ‘Cine Live’ which is a real
revolution in the press industry. ‘Cine Live’ combines a paper magazine
and a CD Rom magazine (allowing to show 60 minutes of full screen
video).
