Leo F. Mullin

LEO F. MULLIN is President and Chief Executive Officer of Delta Air
Lines at its world headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Mullin was
named President and CEO and a member of Delta’s Board of Directors on
August 14, 1997. Prior to joining Delta, Mr. Mullin served as Vice
Chairman of Unicom Corporation and its chief subsidiary, Commonwealth
Edison, from 1995 to 1997. Unicom supplies electrical energy to 3.4
million customers in Illinois. Mr. Mullin shared overall management
responsibility for the company, and held functional roles in marketing,
transmission and distribution, and finance. Before Unicom Mr. Mullin
held key management positions at First Chicago, the country’s 10th
largest commercial bank, for 15 years. From 1993 to 1995, he was
President and Chief Operating Officer of the company, with line
responsibility for commercial banking, retail banking, credit cards, and
the American National Bank subsidiary. From 1991 to 1993, he served as
Chairman and CEO of American National Bank. Prior to joining First
Chicago in January 1981, Mr. Mullin served for five years as Senior Vice
President for Strategic Planning at Consolidated Rail Corporation
(Conrail) in Philadelphia. Previous to Conrail, he spent nine years with
McKinsey & Company, a management consulting firm, in Washington, D.C.
During his last three years with the firm, he was a partner. Mr. Mullin
serves on the corporate boards of BellSouth Corporation and Inland Steel
Industries, Inc. In addition to his business accomplishments, Mr. Mullin
has long been recognized for his strong community leadership. He is
presently a member of the boards of the Air Transport Association of
America, the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Robert W. Woodruff Arts
Center, and Northwestern University. Mr. Mullin received a degree in
engineering and applied physics from Harvard College, a degree in
applied mathematics from The Harvard Graduate School of Arts and
Sciences, and a M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. Mr. Mullin and
his wife, Leah, have one son, Matthew, and one daughter, Jessica.
