Mr. Shankar has a 20-year career on Wall Street in semiconductor research and investment banking since 1992. He has focused on semiconductor, semiconductor capital equipment and optical components research at Montgomery Securities, Salomon Brothers, DLJ Securities, JMP Securities and ThinkEquity. He also has extensive experience in technology investment banking, advising companies on capital raising and M&A at Needham & Co and also Bank of America Securities. Mr. Shankar began his career working as a Process Development Engineer at AMD and Cirrus Logic. Mr. Shankar is well-recognized for his extensive industry experience, ability to identify winning investment themes, longstanding corporate and institutional relationships, and domain expertise across the entire semiconductor and electronics industry food chain. Mr. Shankar received his B.S. in chemical engineering from IIT, New Delhi, India, M.S. in chemical engineering from USC, Los Angeles, and M.S. in engineering management from Stanford University in California.
