KEN HOEXTER, Managing Director of Merrill Lynch Global Securities, has
served as Merrill Lynch’s senior airfreight and surface transportation
analyst since January 2002. Previously, he covered telecommunications
stocks for nine years, with a focus on the emerging broadband service
providers. In 2001, for the third consecutive year, he was ranked as an
All-Star in the Institutional Investor research poll, moving up one
notch to second place after two years as a third-teamer. In The Wall
Street Journal’s ‘Best on the Street 2000 Analysts Survey,’ he was
honored as a ‘Home Run Hitter,’ one of only seven analysts on Wall
Street who were selected as the best overall in stock-picking. He was
also named the number one stock picker for ‘Telecom Carriers’ in the
2000 survey. Additionally, he placed third on the 2001 Greenwich
Research all-star team (he was second in 2000). He joined Merrill Lynch
in January 2000, following three years at Goldman Sachs. Prior to
joining Goldman, he spent four years at Lehman Brothers. He graduated
with a BS in both Finance and Marketing from Lehigh University in 1993.
