Kal Raman

KAL RAMAN serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer for
drugstore.com, inc., a leading online drugstore and information site
offering A Very Healthy Way to Shop_ for health, beauty, wellness,
personal care, and pharmacy products. Having joined the drugstore.com
senior management team in August 1998, Mr. Raman’s contributions have
helped the company acquire a reputation for e-tailing leadership in
terms of technological innovation, revenue and customer growth. Mr.
Raman, who joined the company in 1998, began his drugstore.com career as
Chief Technology Officer. In 1999, he was promoted to Senior Vice
President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining drugstore.com,
Mr. Raman served as Chief Information Officer and Vice President of
Nations Rent, and as the Senior Director of Information Systems of
Blockbuster Inc. From 1992-1997, he served as the Director of the
International Division of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Mr. Raman received his
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the College of Engineering of Anna
University in Guindy, India.
