Joseph C. Ford

JOSEPH C. FORD is a Senior Vice President and director of Institutional
Funds Management for SouthTrust Asset Management Company. He brings
more than 24 years experience to the management of SouthTrust Growth
Fund. Mr. Ford has been a member of the SouthTrust investment team
since 1995. Previously, he was Senior Vice President and Senior
Portfolio Manager at SunBank Capital Management in Orlando, Florida from
1983 to 1995. For the period 1979 to 1983, Mr. Ford was Assistant Vice
President and Trust Investment Officer for Virginia National Bankshares,
Inc. in Norfolk, Virginia. He earned a BA degree in Economics from
Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina.
