John Thurston Beaty

JOHN THURSTON BEATY JR. has been a Registered Investment Advisor since
1970, first at Davidge & Company and, since 1990, at Beaty Haynes &
Associates. He has acted as a portfolio manager as well as President of
both firms. At Beaty Haynes & Associates, he counsels clients and
searches for investment opportunities across a broad spectrum including
traditional stocks and bonds, emerging growth situations, venture
capital and real estate. Mr. Beaty is a graduate of the Choate School,
Princeton University (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and Harvard
Business School (with high distinction). He is a Chartered Investment
Counselor. Mr. Beaty is an active participant in community affairs and
is president of the Montgomery County Historical Society and a past
President of the Decatur House Council of the National Trust for
Historic Preservation. He also serves on Boards of Recording for the
Blind and High School Home Health Aid. Mr. Beaty is a member of the
Advisory Board of the Venture Capital Fund of New England and has taught
as an Adjunct Professor at the American University Business School.
