John S. Gates

JOHN S. GATES, JR., co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, is
responsible for development and implementation of the company’s
strategy as well as oversight and coordination of its operations,
finances, investments and administration. He has been active in
all aspects of the Chicago industrial property markets for 20
years and has served as CEO of CenterPoint since the company’s
formation. Mr. Gates received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics
from Trinity College (Hartford). He is a trustee of the National
Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and the Center for
Urban Land Economics Research of the University of Wisconsin. Mr.
Gates is an active member of the Young President’s Organization,
the Real Estate Roundtable, Urban Land Institute and the National
Association of Industrial and Office Parks. He also serves on the
board of the Metropolitan Planning Council.
