John R. Jones

John R. Jones, CFA, CLU, is President of GuideStone Funds. John Jones joined GuideStone Financial Resources in January 1989 and was elected Senior Vice President in February 1990. Following his tenure in the Investment Division, Mr. Jones was elected Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of GuideStone in February 1998. Mr. Jones came to GuideStone from the position of Senior Vice President-Trust and Head of the Institutional Trust Division for InterFirst Bank, currently Bank of America. He also had prior experience with a major life insurance company in the development, marketing and administration of employee benefit plans. Mr. Jones earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and holds the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Analyst designations.
