John J. Ong

JOHN J. ONG has been Director of Investor Relations of La-Z-Boy
Incorporated since January 2000, when La-Z-Boy acquired LADD
Furniture, Inc., then the residential furniture industry’s
seventh largest manufacturer. Mr. Ong joined LADD in 1985 as
Director of Investor Relations and was named Vice President in
1998. Prior to joining LADD, he worked in investor relations
positions with Wachovia Corporation in Winston-Salem, North
Carolina, and Northwestern Financial Corporation in North
Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Before moving to North Carolina, Mr.
Ong worked as a financial writer and investments analyst with
several New York City brokerage firms, including Merrill Lynch,
where he began his career. A graduate of Rutgers University with
a BS in Business, he earned his Chartered Financial Analyst
designation in 1986. He is a member of NIRI (National Investor
Relations Institute) and AIMR (Association for Investment
Management and Research).
