John Irwin

JOHN IRWIN joined Atwood Oceanics, Inc., in 1979, became Vice
President’Operations in 1980, Executive Vice President in 1988 and has
been President, CEO and a Director of the company since 1992. Mr. Irwin
has over 30 years of international experience in the offshore drilling
industry including resident assignments in Europe, the Middle East, West
Africa, Southeast Asia and South America. He is a Director and past
Chairman of the International Association of Drilling Contractors and a
current Director of the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston. Mr.
Irwin also has Master’s degrees in Engineering and Industrial
Administration.
