Jeryl Hilleman

JERYL HILLEMAN is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of
Symyx Technologies, Inc. Ms. Hilleman has over 14 years of executive
experience with life sciences and technology companies. Prior to Symyx,
Ms. Hilleman served in financial and business development roles with
Geron Corporation and Cytel Corporation. She joined all three companies
as one of the initial employees and played a key role in building them
into high profile public companies. Ms. Hilleman has raised over $240
million in equity funding, including three initial public offerings. Ms.
Hilleman was selected as a 1999 Crown Fellow by the Aspen Institute. Ms.
Hilleman received her AB degree from Brown University and an MBA from
the Wharton Graduate School of Business. Her husband, Bill Albright, is
President and CEO of Nexell Therapeutics, Inc., and they have three
children.
