In 2012, Mr. Harralson is ranked as the nation’s second-leading Regional Bank Analyst according to a Greenwich survey of 216 buy-side firms. In addition, KBW’s small/midcap research team is currently and consistently ranked as the best on Wall Street by Institutional Investor and by Greenwich Associates. Also, both KBW’s large-cap and midcap research has been consistently recognized as Best of the Boutiques by Institutional Investor. Mr. Harralson also heads Keefe Bruyette & Woods, Inc.’s southeastern bank research team, writing on 15 banks. Mr. Harralson has over 20 years experience in analyzing southeastern banks, beginning in the bank consulting industry working with U.S. Banking Alliance and Alex Sheshunoff Management Services. In 1997, he joined the sellside analyst community at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Equity Capital Markets. Mr. Harralson has been quoted in newspapers worldwide and in such publications as Forbes, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal and USA Today. Mr. Harralson has also appeared as a television guest on CNBC and Bloomberg Television. He earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from Washington & Lee University, where he was also an Honorable Mention Basketball All American. Mr. Harralson earned his MBA in finance from Georgia State University in 1991 — where he is on the advisory board — and his Chartered Financial Analyst Designation.
