Jay Adelson

JAY ADELSON is the CTO and Founder of Equinix, Inc. Since founding the
company with Al Avery in 1998, Mr. Adelson has provided strategic
leadership and vision in keeping with the promise of the Equinix
business model. Previously, Mr. Adelson was Operations Manager for
Digital Equipment Corporation’s Palo Alto Internet Exchange, where he
built the operations team from the ground up and facilitated the
interconnectivity of countless Internet Service Providers, carriers and
high-volume content providers. Prior to DEC, Mr. Adelson was a founding
member of Netcom On-Line Communications, Inc., where he managed both
access and network operations. Mr. Adelson was instrumental in the
build-out of Netcom’s international backbone and regional deployment,
including over 230 regional points of presence. Mr. Adelson holds a BS
in Communications from Boston University.
