James West is a Managing Director and Barclays Capital’s lead North America Oil Services and Drilling Analyst. Mr. West joined Barclays in September 2008. Prior to that, he was at Lehman Brothers beginning in October 2000. His broad coverage universe includes large-capitalization diversified oil services companies, niche technology providers, offshore and onshore contract drillers, supply vessel providers, and energy capital equipment companies. Since taking lead coverage of the group in 2011, Mr. West has been top ranked in Institutional Investor, including number three in 2011, number two in 2012 and number one in 2013. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. West worked at Donaldson, Lukfin & Jenrette. He earned a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
