James Schier

JAMES SCHIER is a Vice President and Portfolio Manager for the
Security Benefit Group’s Mid Cap Growth and Mid Cap Value
portfolios and oversees nearly $800 million in assets. He has 15
years of investment experience. Prior to joining Security Benefit
in 1995, Mr. Schier was responsible for co-managing $60 million
in equity assets for Mitchell Capital Management and prior to
that, managed $160 million as a Vice President at Fourth
Financial in Wichita, Kansas. He also has worked as an Equity
Securities Analyst for Stifel, Nicolaus & Co., Inc. and for
Mercantile Trust. Mr. Schier is a graduate of the University of
Notre Dame and earned his MBA from Washington University. He is a
Chartered Financial Analyst.
