James R. Famalette

JAMES R. FAMALETTE is President and Chief Executive Officer of
Gottschalks since June 1999. He was President and Chief Operating
Officer from 1997-1999. Mr. Famalette was President and Chief Executive
Officer of Liberty House from 1993-1997 and President and Chief
Operating Officer from 1992-1993. He was VP/General Merchandise Manager
for Liberty House from 1991-1992 and VP/Director of Stores, Liberty
House from 1989-1991; Division VP/Merchandise, Liberty House from
1987-1989. He was President, Village Fashions Specialty Stores from
1985-1987; VP/GMM, Village Fashions Specialty Stores from 1982-1985;
Store/Merchandising positions, The Colonies Stores from 1975-1982 and
Store positions, Threads Too! From 1974-1975. Mr. Famalette has a BA
degree in Economics from Kings College.
