James P. Samuels

JAMES P. SAMUELS is a Managing Director in the industrial growth sector
of the Banc of America Securities LLC Research Department. He joined the
firm in 1998 and prior to that, had been an Analyst at Smith Barney
since 1994, covering multi-industry companies. Prior to that, Mr.
Samuels was the Director of Equity Research at Cigna, and a member of
the Stock Selection Committee for the insurance company’s $5 billion
equity portfolio. He received his MBA from the Wharton Graduate School
and his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr.
Samuels was ranked sixth in the 1997 Institutional Investor ‘All-
American Research Team’ in the Multi-Industry category, and fourth in
the Greenwich Survey.
