Henry W. Sullivan

HENRY W. SULLIVAN has been President and Chief Executive Officer of
North American Technologies Group, Inc., since January 1999. Dr.
Sullivan assumed this position after serving in a variety of executive
roles since July 1996. Prior to joining the company, Dr. Sullivan was
employed by Huntsman Chemical Corporation and Shell Oil Company, where
he spent 26 years in various senior management roles. In 1965, Dr.
Sullivan joined Shell Oil Company, designing refineries and
petrochemical plants at Shell’s New York headquarters. He was later
given a number of successively more important field positions with
various Shell plants and in 1978 became the Business Center Manager for
Hydrocarbon Utilization for all six major refinery complexes in the
United States. From 1980 to 1988 Dr. Sullivan was promoted a number of
times to increasingly responsible positions with Shell. In 1988, Dr.
Sullivan joined Huntsman Petrochemical Corporation as President and in
1989 became Vice Chairman of Huntsman Chemical Corporation, the parent
company and the nation’s largest private chemical company. Dr. Sullivan
has served as Chairman and Director of a number of companies and
organizations in manufacturing and polymer technology, including
Huntsman Chemical and the Executive Committee of the Society of the
Plastics Industry. He currently serves as a Director of Sarkeys Energy
Center at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Sullivan has a Bachelor’s
degree in Chemical Engineering from Cooper Union and completed Master’s
and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering from New York University in
1965.
