H. Thomas Smith

H. THOMAS SMITH is a Founder of Birmingham Capital Management Company, where he has served as Partner and Director since 1983. Prior to founding the firm, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager and Analyst in the Trust Department of AmSouth Bank, where he also served as Director of Research and Director of Investment Strategy. A Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the AIMR, Mr. Smith has 41 years of experience in asset management and research. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wake Forest University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina.
