George P. Orban

GEORGE P. ORBAN became Chief Executive Officer of Egghead.com, Inc., in
January 1997, having served as Chairman since June 1996. As a private
investor and entrepreneur, he has been actively involved in the creation
and development or turnaround of several retail companies in various
sectors. These include Ross Stores, Inc.; Aaron Brothers, Inc., Staples,
Inc.; Devon Stores, Inc. merged into Pantry Pride/Revlon, Inc.; and
Egghead, Inc. He is a director of Ross Stores, Inc. and Elekon
Corporation. Mr. Orban is a graduate of McGill University B.Sc.
(Chemistry) 1966; L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques, Universite de Paris,
Diplome 1968; Columbia University, MBA 1979.
