Geoffrey D. Knapp

GEOFFREY D. KNAPP is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer
of CAM Commerce Solutions, Inc. Mr. Knapp leads the nation’s largest
provider of microcomputer-based inventory management and point-of-sale
software specifically designed for small to medium-sized retailers.
Since he founded the company in 1983, Mr. Knapp has been instrumental in
overseeing the development and maintenance of software and services for
more than 12,000 small to mid-sized retail stores. Mr. Knapp oversees
the company’s marketing programs, including planning and launching new
product concepts, implementing marketing strategies and developing and
supervising the direct sales force. With more than 17 years of
experience in the design and development of marketing strategies, Mr.
Knapp knows the importance of providing state-of-the-art technology and
software as a means of maximizing his retail clients’ productivity,
inventory management and point-of-sale transactions. Prior to founding
CAM Commerce Solutions, he was employed as a sales representative at
Triad Systems Corporation, a $150 million public company based in
Livermore, California specializing in designing, developing, marketing
and servicing turnkey systems for auto parts and hardware stores. Upon
leaving the company, Mr. Knapp was the number one sales person.
Frequently, he is called upon to speak to various business, professional
and trade organizations on developments in retail automation and the
company’s growing role in its new e-commerce offerings. Mr. Knapp
graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor’s degree in
Business Administration.
