Gabriel Battista

GABRIEL BATTISTA joined Talk America Holdings, Inc., as its Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer in January 1999. Prior to joining Talk America,
Mr. Battista served as Chief Executive Officer of Network Solutions
Inc., an Internet domain name registration company. Prior to his tenure
at Network Solutions, Mr. Battista served both as CEO and as President
and Chief Operating Officer of Cable & Wireless North America, Inc. His
career also included management positions at US Sprint, GTE Telenet and
the General Electric company. Mr. Battista serves as a Trustee of
Capitol College and a Director of Systems & Computer Technology
Corporation (SCT). Mr. Battista is a registered Professional Engineer in
the State of Pennsylvania and holds a BSEE from Villanova University, an
MSEE from Drexel University and an MBA from Temple University.
