Doug Schaedler

Doug Schaedler is the Chief Operating Officer of UTEK Corporation. Prior
to joining the company, Mr. Schaedler served as a Principal at Praxis
Capital Ventures, LP, in New York. Previously, he was the Director of
Corporate and Strategic Development at Verticalnet, Inc., and was a
founder of BuyersUnite, an innovative purchasing aggregation firm he
started upon winning the 1999 University of Chicago New Venture
Challenge business plan competition. Mr. Schaedler received a BA in
Economics from Tufts University and an MBA in Analytic Finance from the
University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business. Mr. Schaedler is a
Chartered Financial Analyst.
