David W. Keiser

DAVID W. KEISER has been President and Chief Operating Officer and a
Director of Alexion pharmaceuticals, Inc., since April 2002. He was
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the company from
1992 to 2002. From 1990 to 1992, Mr. Keiser was Senior Director of Asia
Pacific Operations for G.D. Searle & Company Limited, a manufacturer of
pharmaceutical products. From 1986 to 1990, Mr. Keiser held senior
licensing and business development positions at Searle. From 1978 to
1985, Mr. Keiser held international pharmaceutical operations, general
management and business development positions with Hoffmann La Roche and
then Mundipharma AG, located in Basel, Switzerland. Mr. Keiser received
his BA from Gettysburg College.
