David P. Sommers

DAVID P. SOMMERS, Senior Vice President of General Operations and Chief
Financial Officer of NetScout Systems, Inc., manages business
development, investor relations, finance and administration,
manufacturing and information technology. Mr. Sommers has over 30 years
of experience in the high technology industry. He began his career with
24 years at IBM, spanning a broad range of functions that included
sales, marketing, financial and strategic planning, and business
development. After leaving IBM in the early 1990s, Mr. Sommers served as
Chief Financial Officer of several NASDAQ-listed high technology
companies and also as a consultant on mergers and acquisitions to Lotus
Development, an IBM subsidiary. He has been Chief Financial Officer of
NetScout since April 2000. He has a BA in Physics from Harvard College
and an MBA from New York University. He is also a Certified Management
Accountant.
