Daniel Amir

Daniel L. Amir is Managing Director, Equity Research, at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc., and covers hardware technology. Mr. Amir has over 14 years of institutional equity experience focusing on this sector. Prior to joining Ladenburg Thalmann, he worked for Lazard Capital Markets as a Managing Director and Senior Analyst covering semiconductors, components and LEDs. Previously, he worked as an Analyst at WR Hambrecht + Co, Bear Stearns and J.P. Morgan. Mr. Amir is frequently quoted by media outlets and was recognized by Zacks Investment Research in 2006 as the top semiconductor stock picker in The Wall Street Journal‘s “Best On the Street” analyst survey. Prior to Wall Street, he worked in the Israel Department of Treasury and served in the Israeli Air Force. Mr. Amir received his MBA from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA and his bachelor’s degree in economics and international relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
