Cora M. Tellez

CORA M. TELLEZ is President of the Health Plans Division of Health Net,
Inc., and also serves as President of Health Net of California, one of
the largest network-model health plans in the state. Previously, Ms.
Tellez served as head of the Western Division for Health Net, Inc.,
overseeing health plans in Arizona, California and Oregon, as well as
several life insurance companies. She joined Health Net of California as
President and Chief Executive Officer in November 1998. With more than
20 years of managed care experience, Ms. Tellez has held a variety of
leadership positions within the industry. Prior to joining Health Net,
she served as President of Prudential HealthCare Plan of California,
Inc. She was Senior Vice President and Regional Chief Executive of the
Bay Region for Blue Shield of California and Vice President and Regional
Manager of the Hawaii Region for Kaiser Permanente. She received her
Bachelor of Arts degree, Phi Beta Kappa, from Mills College in Oakland
and her Master’s degree in Public Administration from California State
University.
