Joel Beatty, M.D., CFA, is a Senior Research Analyst for Robert W. Baird & Co. covering biotechnology. Before joining Baird in 2021, he spent eight years at Citigroup, most recently as a director in equity research. In 2017, he received the second-highest vote count in the Institutional Investor SMid Biotech Rising Star survey. Before equity research, he was a practicing physician and was board certified in Preventive Medicine. He received M.D., MPH and MBA degrees from the University at Buffalo, and he is a CFA charterholder.
