Alexander M. V. Motola

ALEXANDER M. V. MOTOLA joined Thornburg Investment Management in 2000 as
a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of the Thornburg Core Growth
Fund. He holds BA degrees in English, History and Medieval Studies and
graduated with honors and distinction from the University of California,
Santa Barbara. He also holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business,
University of California at Berkeley. Mr. Motola has managed a wide
variety of growth strategies in the past, including small cap, large
cap, growth and income, and long/short. He has earned the Chartered
Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the AIMR and Security
Analysts of San Francisco. Mr. Motola is directly responsible for the
Thornburg Core Growth Fund that he has managed since inception.
