Kaushik Shridharani, CFA, is a Managing Director in equity research with
Bear, Stearns & Co., New York. He covers companies that provide e-
business solutions for enabling the procurement, supply-chain
management, customer-and supplier-relationship management and demand
management processes of enterprises. His universe includes coverage of
stocks such as Ariba, Commerce One, FreeMarkets, Clarus, Global Sources
as well as companies outside of coverage such as Siebel Systems, i2
Technologies, Manugistics, Art Technology, Broadvision, ClickCommerce.
Prior to joining Bear, Stearns in May 2000, he was a Vice President with
the New York office of Salomon Smith Barney where he covered business e-
commerce following three years with the Hong Kong office, where he
covered Asia Pacific media and Internet companies. He also worked with
UBS Securities from 1994 to 1996 covering Hong Kong media and technology
companies. Prior to that he was a Senior Consultant with Andersen
Consulting in New York and Chicago. Much of his work with Andersen was
spent on projects dealing with automated workflow control for companies
in the services sector. Mr Shridharani received his Master of
International Affairs degree from Columbia University School of
International and Public Affairs in 1992, where he specialized in
emerging-markets finance. His studies included internships in India and
Korea, where he worked at Pohang Iron and Steel Company. He also
received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Columbia
University School of Engineering and Applied Science in 1987. Profile
