WILLEM MIDDELBURG is the Chief Financial Officer of PinkRoccade NV. He
graduated with a PhD in engineering from the TU Delft, Faculty of Civil
Engineering, Hydraulics and Hydrology, in 1982. While studying, he was
one of the co-founders of Pink Elephant. After graduating, he fulfilled
his compulsory military service as Officer with the Royal Dutch Army,
Policy and Planning Division, Infrastructure section. He also remained
active in Pink Elephant. In early 1984, he decided to devote himself
entirely to the further expansion of Pink Elephant. In April 1993,
Willem Middelburg moved from Pink Elephant to the RCC-Groep holding
(today PinkRoccade,) where he is responsible, as member of the group
management, for financial and legal matters, as well as terms of
