GERARD H. SWEENEY is President and Chief Executive Officer of Brandywine
Realty Trust. Mr. Sweeney has served as President and Chief Executive
Officer of the Company since August 8, 1994 and as President since
November 9, 1988. Mr. Sweeney was elected a Trustee on February 9, 1994.
Mr. Sweeney has overseen the growth of Brandywine from four properties
and a total market capitalization of 10 million to over 300 properties
and a total market capitalization of $1.8 billion. Prior to August,
1988, in addition to serving as President of Brandywine, Mr. Sweeney
also served as Vice President of LCOR, Incorporated (LCOR), a real
estate development firm. Mr. Sweeney was employed at the Linpro Company
(a predecessor of LCOR) from 1983 to 1994 and served in several
capacities, including Financial Vice President and General Partner.
During this time, Mr. Sweeney was responsible for the marketing,
management, construction, asset management and financial oversight of a
diversified portfolio consisting of urban high-rise, mid-rise, flex,
warehouse and distribution facilities, retail and apartment complexes.
Mr. Sweeney is a member of NAREIT, the ULI, the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of
Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Mr. Sweeney is also a Board Member
of U.S. RealTel, Inc., The Foundation for Architecture and The
Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the Independence Seaport
