ELIJIO V. SERRANO is the Chief Financial Officer and a member of the
Board of Directors for EGL, Inc. Mr. Serrano joined EGL in 1999 after
working 17 years for the international oilfield services giant,
Schlumberger Ltd. While employed by Schlumberger, he worked in various
financial positions in the United States and the United Kingdom. He was
the worldwide Controller based in London, England, for Geco-Prakla, the
seismic operations of Schlumberger with revenues over $1 billion. He
returned to the United States in 1998 as Vice President and General
Manager for the western hemisphere's operations of Geco-Prakla. A
graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso in 1979, Mr. Serrano is a
Certified Public Accountant (Texas, 1986) and is active in community
affairs in the Houston area. Profile
