PATRICK J. DIRK is Chairman of the Board, and Chief Executive Officer of
TROY Group, Inc. He has been Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive
Officer and a Director since he co-founded TROY with his wife, Mary J.
Dirk, in May 1982. From May 1982 until August 1999, Mr. Dirk also served
as President of TROY. Mr. Dirk is the Chairman of the Board and Chief
Executive Officer of each of the TROY Group's subsidiaries. From 1980 to
1982 Mr. Dirk served as President and a Director of Kroy Inc. where he
was employed in various capacities from 1973 to 1982. Mr. Dirk is a CPA
and a former employee of KPMG Peat Marwick LLP. Mr. Dirk also serves as
a member of the Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards of several
companies, none of which compete with TROY. Mr. Dirk devotes
substantially all of his efforts to TROY and its subsidiaries. Mr. Dirk
has both a BS degree and an MS degree in Accounting and Finance from the
University of North Dakota, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Profile
